As you may know, Mary Washington Healthcare is in contract negotiations with Anthem and some of its facilities may be out of network starting January 1, 2012.
I want to assure you that all outpatient imaging services through Medical Imaging office locations – including x-ray, MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, and mammography – will continue to be in network with Anthem.
Mary Washington Healthcare is only negotiating new contracts for Mary Washington Hospital, Stafford Hospital, Snowden at Fredericksburg, and Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center.
The following Medical Imaging facilities, and correlating imaging services, will continue to be covered by Anthem’s HMOs, PPOs, and Anthem Medicaid Healthkeepers Plus:

- Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg
- Medical Imaging of Lee’s Hill
- Medical Imaging of North Stafford
- Imaging Center for Women
Mary Washington Healthcare continues to negotiate with Anthem for its contracts with Mary Washington and Stafford Hospitals, Snowden at Fredericksburg, and Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center. If a contract is not in place in the future, Mary Washington Healthcare is working with Anthem patients so that they can access these services through their out of network coverage, but only be billed for in network rates.
