Raises Money for Breast Cancer Research
Fredericksburg, VA, July 26, 2011 - On June 1st, 2011, Mary Washington Healthcare's Imaging Center for Women joined with the Fawn Lake Ladies & Men's Golf Associations in sponsoring the 13th Annual Fawn Lake Rally for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament.
The event raised approximately $30,000 dollars for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to promote screening, treatment and assistance for the underserved, as well as funding research grants. In total, 128 golfers, which included a foursome from the Imaging Center for Women, participated along with many volunteers to raise money for the fight against breast cancer.
Mary Washington Healthcare's Imaging Center for Women is committed to continuing the fight against breast cancer and supporting efforts to increase screening and treatment.
